Whatsapp has released a new feature, through which any suspicious links coming to you will be identified and blocked.

New Delhi:

Whatsapp has released a new feature for the prevention of fake news and suspicious links. Through this feature, any suspicious links coming to you will be identified and blocked. The name of this feature is ‘Suspicious Link Detection’ by the company and the test is currently on. This feature is available on beta version 2.18.221 of Whatsapp. After testing, the company will release this feature for all Android users.

About this feature of Whatsapp, the website WABetaInfo has reported that the links coming with the message will be automatically scanned by users, and the links which will look suspicious to Whatsapp will be highlighted in red with ‘Suspicious Link Text’. Even if the user tries to open the link, then the suspicious link will be warned that you are trying to open a dangerous link. You now have two options to return or open links.

The statement released on behalf of Whatsapp showed that the feature is working properly, but it is still to know if Whatsapp is able to correctly scan all the suspicious links. With the help of this feature, Whatsapp will scan all incoming text messages and put suspicious keywords on the list of visas. Initially, the company will bring this feature to Android users. iPhone and Windows users will get the facility later.

Earlier, WhatsApp had fixed the limits of the chat in order to control Fake News. According to the company, Indian users will not be able to use the Quick Forward button anymore. Whatsapp has made changes to this feature only for Indian users. According to the new guidelines of Whatsapp, Indian users forward more messages than other countries. These include videos and photos too. Let’s tell you, there are about 20 million users of Whatsapp in India. In the past, Whatsapp had issued the guidelines. But, to curb the ban on Fake News, the Indian government issued another notice. Let me tell you, after spreading the news of WhatsApp News, there were reports of Mob Lynching in many places in the country.
