Delhi Signature Bridge will be ready by 31 October.
The much-awaited signature bridge connecting Delhi with Tronica City, located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, will be ready by October. The bridge has been delayed for more than 8 years. The Signature Bridge Project was announced in the year 2004, while the Delhi Cabinet gave its approval to build it in 2007 and it should have been prepared in October 2010. But even after 8 years, the work of the bridge has not yet been completed.
Apart from the PWD on this project of Signature Bridge, Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) is also working. Therefore it is expected that after the bridge is ready, it will also be developed as a tourist spot. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted two days ago that the Signature Bridge will be one of the most important Tourist Destination in the country and it will be open for public use by October 31. A glass box is being built at the height of 154 meters on this bridge, from which the entire city will have a great view.
The signature bridge will be opened for public use by 31st October. It’s going to be one of the most important tourist places.
In view of the failure of the bridge, a PIL was filed in the Delhi High Court which said that since the year 2011, the deadline to complete the signature bridge project has been missed several times. Delhi’s PWD department assured the Delhi High Court that the work of Signature Bridge will be completed in next 2 months i.e. by October, after which the Bridge trial will begin.
Signature Bridge of Delhi.
When the 154-meter high signature bridge being built on the Yamuna River will be ready, it will reduce the traffic burden of vehicles on the Wazirabad Bridge. This will also facilitate the repair of Wazirabad Bridge. Signature Bridge will connect North Delhi to North East Delhi and Ghaziabad. Also, the traffic on the ring disease will also be reduced.
